In a nutshell, I enjoy educational technology and use this to enhance teaching and learning where possible, I currently teach predominantly on the Early Childhood Studies undergraduate award, nonetheless also deliver on Early Years Initial Teacher Training, and have begun supporting Early Childhood Education focused Master’s research. My research interests include STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Maths) in Early Years, consequently I am a STEM Ambassador, and I am fascinated by the cognitive psychology associated with the Smile and Laughter Response. I enjoy writing for pleasure and have written a series of children’s picture books. I have experience of delivering bespoke training and consultancy, and do enjoy the review process of children’s toys and equipment during their development phase.
